1952 Farmall Cub Serial No. 149018
|
I purchased this tractor in August 2007 primarily for pasture trimming along stone walls, field perimeters,
around pond and various small areas.
It came with new wheels and tires on both front and rear as well as rear wheel weights and a set of chains.
Also, prior owner converted it to 12 volt. Overall the tractor was in reasonable condition. Engine was rebuilt
and radiator replaced in the past.
Thus far, I have made the following additions and repairs:
- new exhaust manifold
- new muffler, clamp and rain cap
- radiator cap (non-pressure, original type)
- touch control stops (replacements)
- final drive pan gaskets
- rear axle housing seals
- clutch housing inspection plate (new)
- clutch and brake return springs (new)
- left rear axle housing (rear bolt hole was damaged)
- front wheel weights
- new seat pan
- new steering wheel
- new front tie rods
- hydraulic unit rebuild kit
- new wiring harness (7 cables)
- new primary battery cable
- new regulator, rebuilt generator
- new battery box, complete assembly
- new cub tool box
- new hand crank and bracket
- engine rear seal
- replacement housing under radiator
- new radiator hoses and Witket clamps
- painted gas tank, hood and side panels
- new primary decals
- new head lights
- new tail light
- step for easy of access
Attachments:
- Mott Flail Mower (Model D95 - 5 ft)
The 5 ft model has 21 inches extending beyond tires (set wide) providing good reach for triming edge of pastures and
around pond. Mower came off a Cub Low Boy and mounting brackets had to be changed as the Low Boy has different
clearances. Bracket changes included: main support yoke, idler pulley bracket and stabilizer (jockey rod) — on right side
versus left for Low Boy. Mower was updated with new finish (sand, rust treatment, prime, paint), new belt, new knives
and various bolts.
- A-22 Sickle Bar Mower
Mower has been sand blasted, primed and painted original blue. Purchased new knife section, rock guards, drive belt
and belt shield, front shaft shield and various bearings and bolts. Mower works great.
The Farmall Cub was manufacatured from 1947 until early 1980. One of the longest model series ever.
